Office ticket

What is it?

Ticket office definition

The need for proximity, with external work spaces as well equipped as the office, is increasingly important. The office ticket could be the solution to meet this new employee demand. How does it work?

What is a ticket office?

The ticket office, also known as the office title, is a concept in the making. The Senate, through social and fiscal measures, approves its implementation. What is the objective of the ticket bureau? It is simply to allow the employer to provide financial assistance to its employees to go to a shared workspace near their home.

What does the law say?

A ticket office law was passed on February 5, 2021. Its name?" Proposed law to facilitate access to local offices and the maintenance of the social life of remote workers ". It frames the use of telecommuting and the rental of places external to the company with the aim of:

  • Allow workers to juggle their professional and personal lives more easily;
  • reduce office-related costs for employers;
  • make working conditions more equitable for remote workers.

Remote working must be experienced as a plural practice, not as an obligation. With the office title, employees could rent a place in a shared workspace.

The advantages of the office ticket for companies

The law on the office title provides a tax reduction for companies that use local workspaces (coworking spaces...):

  • A tax deduction of 50% is applied to the expenses generated by the rental of work spaces (private or shared);
  • companies with less than 250 employees benefit from an additional depreciation for the purchase of new premises.

In addition to its convenience for employees, the office ticket is also advantageous for companies that reduce their real estate costs and taxes.
